as we all know, the ostrich is the largest living bird. in the philippines, engineer lorenzo u. limketkai and his son heintje, back in 1996 pioneered ostrich farming. they started 3 breeders and eventually multiplied to thousands of it. the farm has 9.8 hectares and they also took an eye to numbers of crocodile and lambs.

*note: public has easily accepted ostrich meat because of its taste and high nutrition value. low cholesterol and low fat content. provides iron and protein supplements. ostrich meat has less than half the fat of chicken and two thirds less fat than beef and pork.
