Sky Experience Adventure

The tallest hotel tower in the Philippines!
Survived the Edge Coaster ride... on my own! :-)

World's first Urban Sky Zip and Sky Lift -  First you gotta pass the first lift in an up-side-down position, and the second zip in a normal sitting position. Still, it's breath-taking. This is the tallest air zipline I have tried, so far. (more to go)

The ever famous Sky Walk! Survivors: Kissy and Khryng. Good job, sisterette, I am so proud of you! :-)

Tower 1, Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, Fuente Towers, Fuente Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City

(bucketlist checked!)   I always have a thing for those exotic activities, exotic foods, exotic places. I find thrill in exploring the not too mainstream things. Although Sky Adventure has been popular since early 2000s, I only got my chance last May 24, 2013 with my dearest little adventurer sister, Kissy. I think I have influenced her to GO YOLO, GO EXTREME too. :-)

Taoist Temple, Cebu

My sister, Kissy is too excited to climb the hills to the temple since this is her first time to visit Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills, Lahug, Cebu City

How to get there:
To get here from Osmeña Boulevard via jeepney, hail one bound for 'JY Square Mall'. The fare is less than Php20. This will pass by the massive Cebu Provincial Capitol which is also worth visiting.  From JY Square Mall, ride a habal-habal to bring you to the entrance of Beverly Hills Subdivision. Public motorcycles are not allowed inside the premises of the said subdivision so you have to walk from the gate to the temple. Ask the guard on duty for directions. Walking along the tree-lined streets of the village takes approximately 15 minutes.

There is no entrance fee to get inside the temple. Just bare in mind that it's a T-E-M-P-L-E so observe silence.

Inside the Temple:
You will need to climb some stairs before you get to see the temple. There’s a myth that if you climb and count the 81 steps of the stairs, you can make a wish. Although the place is open to the public, tourists are still strictly advised to remain silent. It is also prohibited to take photos of the saints and to make the temple as a background photo.

Magellan's Cross & Sto. Nino Basilica de Cebu

May 24 - 26, Summer 2013, I decided to treat my little sister a Cebu vacation, though this wasnt her first time, I still took her there, to have our last hurrah before the summer ends and before we both get serious on the next school year. Of course, dropping by and pray at Sto. Nino Church is must when going to the Queen City.

Magellan planted a cross to signify this important event about the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in what is now Cebu, in central Philippines. The original cross is reputedly encased in another wooden cross for protection, as people started chipping it away in the belief that it had miraculous healing powers. This prompted the government officials to encase it in tindalo wood and secured it inside a small chapel called "kiosk." Some say, however, that the original cross was actually destroyed. The Magellan cross displayed here is said to be a replica of such cross.

Basilica Minore del Santo Niño (sometimes also called Basilica del Santo Niño) is a 16th century church structure in the heart of downtown Cebu City, Philippines. It is built in the exact spot where the image of Santo Niño (the Black Holy Child Jesus image/sculpture) was found.

Whitewater Rafting, CDO

April 21, 2013 --- We survived the extreme course of Cagayan de Oro's whitewater rafting. 14 major rapids + 7 times spill off the raft, how about that? We died several moments, ingested liters of water every tumbling while battling up with the rocks each bump and moving with the flow of the water current. It was a memorable experience with Lably, Xenia, Francis, Michael and our 2 guides from the Red Rafts Company. Twas the adventure I needed and deserved! You cant leave CDO without experiencing the doom of extreme course rafting!

Camp Phillips

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines

It is also where the Del Monte Pineapple Plantation is located. It has a vast field of pineapples covering around 9000 hectares of land. A wide area of the place is planted with pineapples that stretch from horizon to horizon.

Camp Phillips is a 40-45 minutes drive from Cagayan de Oro City. One can reach the area either by riding a bus going to Manolo Fortich proper or take a van that goes directly to Camp Phillips for P50.00. Inside Camp Phillips there are jeepneys going to Alae for P20.00 and the ones going to Manolo Fortich proper would cost P25.00.

Never forget Camp Phillips and Del Monte Pineapple Plantation in your itinerary when visiting Bukidnon and try the sweetest and most delicious pineapple in the Philippines.
