Taoist Temple, Cebu

My sister, Kissy is too excited to climb the hills to the temple since this is her first time to visit Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills, Lahug, Cebu City

How to get there:
To get here from OsmeƱa Boulevard via jeepney, hail one bound for 'JY Square Mall'. The fare is less than Php20. This will pass by the massive Cebu Provincial Capitol which is also worth visiting.  From JY Square Mall, ride a habal-habal to bring you to the entrance of Beverly Hills Subdivision. Public motorcycles are not allowed inside the premises of the said subdivision so you have to walk from the gate to the temple. Ask the guard on duty for directions. Walking along the tree-lined streets of the village takes approximately 15 minutes.

There is no entrance fee to get inside the temple. Just bare in mind that it's a T-E-M-P-L-E so observe silence.

Inside the Temple:
You will need to climb some stairs before you get to see the temple. There’s a myth that if you climb and count the 81 steps of the stairs, you can make a wish. Although the place is open to the public, tourists are still strictly advised to remain silent. It is also prohibited to take photos of the saints and to make the temple as a background photo.
